As Senior Presales Engineer at Backbase in Amsterdam you will work at a leading and innovative web 2.0 company that specializes in Customer Experience software and services based on Ajax and RIA technologies. Backbase works for major clients such as ABN AMRO, KPN, ING, Philips, Visa, AIG, EMC, IBM and Vanguard. As Senior Presales Engineer you are the person to provide our customers.
The Sales Team
The Backbase Sales Team in Amsterdam consists of 4 employees. As Senior Presales Engineer you are part of the Sales Team and you will report to the CEO.
The Job
As Senior Presales Engineer you are responsible for advising clients in relation to the architecture to be implemented. Furthermore, you are the person who has experience in creating a technical design and developing a "lightweight" Java prototype architecture.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate for this challenging and demanding position of Senior Presales Engineer with Backbase has the following profile:
Technical experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Pre Sales Engineer (preferably in an Enterprise environment).
- You have experience with setting up a PoC
- Experience in leading an implementation of RIA / JAVA architecture.
- Experience in the preparation of a technical plan.
- You have experience in preparing diagrams.
- Experience with Spring and preferably with modern Java architecture.
- You are an integration expert.
- Experience with large scale architectures.
- Experience in defining software architectures, security, deployment, performance and risk management.
- Experience with sizing, scalability and connectivity.
- You have experience with Web services like SOA
- You still have the drive for hands-on work in Java.
Commercial experience:
- Excellent verbal and written communicative skills in both the English and Dutch language.
- You are customer focused
- Representative
- You have experience in presenting prototypes to customers.
- You are very analytical
