Using the so-called 'Comet' approach the web server can push updates to client-side
Ajax applications, but one can also use a polling mechanism ('pull'). During his
internship at Backbase, Engin Bozdag has created a
technical
report with the pros and cons of each approach. At Ajaxian there have been some

Francis Wong gives an introduction
to Ajax from an IT business perspective. He

Mozilla developer John Resig gives an opinion
on the latest JavaScript developments, including work on JavaScript 2.0 and server-side
Java implementations. Brendan Eich, the original creator of JavaScript,
blogged about EcmaScript 4,
which is the basis for JavaScript 2.0.
