Cloud Portal

For some organizations, only an entirely in-house portal solution is appropriate. However, more and more of our customers are investigating the use of Cloud or Utility Computing resources to complement their internal technology stack. The open architecture at the core of the Backbase Portal platform is designed for a cloud-computing world, allowing you to deploy Backbase Portal in a number of different ways:

• Entirely on-premise on your hardware in your data centers;
• Entirely hosted in the cloud, as a software as a service (SaaS) offering;
• Split model, with some components running in your data center and some in the cloud.

Backbase Cloud Portal
For organizations that want the benefits of the Backbase Portal solution without in-house deployment and minimal integration efforts, Backbase offers Cloud Portal. Cloud Portal is a complete portal platform securely delivered over the internet. Your business users and end-customers can access Portal Cloud with any web browser. Your IT staff can directly access the system management features and the platform API.

A fully cloud-based Portal platform isn't right for every organization. Some have content or data that they must keep inside their corporate firewall; some have complex integration requirements; or have security guidelines that can best be provided with the on premise use of the Backbase Portal software. The modular architecture of the Backbase Portal platform is designed to enable you to take some Portal modules in-house (in your own data center) and outsource other modules to the cloud. Backbase Cloud Portal modules enables you take a hybrid approach.

In 2011 we will finalize our Cloud Portal offering, but if you have particular requirements, please contact us now. Early Adopter Program members will have access to Cloud Portal before we standardize our final Cloud Portal program, and help us to shape the final Cloud Portal offering.
