A large part of the Backbase Site is accessible without telling us who you are or giving us personal information. We are collecting information in web server log files, but this is anonymous and will only be used for statistical purposes.
Collection of Personal Information
We may need more information from you in the following cases:
- You want to download certain types of information such as whitepapers or price information
- You are contacting us with a question, request for more information, remark or other type of feedback
- You are a developer working with Backbase software, and you would like access to the Developers section of the Site
- You would like access to the Backbase Discussion Forum
- You are a Backbase Partner, and you would like to access partner-only information
- You are submitting a job application
- You are submitting an order via our Site
Use of Personal Information
Backbase can use personal information:
- To contact you regarding an order, question, request or remark or any other type of feedback that you submitted.
- To fulfill your requests by us or by others involved in fulfillment; others are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose than the fulfillment.
- To contact you for marketing purposes: third parties are not allowed to use your personal information for marketing purposes
- To contact you for market research or customer satisfaction surveys
- To compile statistical reports on the usage of our website (e.g. anonymous clickstream data)
- To develop our business relationship if you represent a Backbase Partner
- To display your name in messages that you post to the Backbase Discussion Forum
Product Activation
Backbase products may require activation in order to authenticate licensed users. During this activation we do not collect or utilize personal information, such as your name and contact information, and we do not associate activation data with registration data.
Your preferences
You can indicate that you don’t wish to be contacted for marketing purposes and we will respect your wishes. To do so, send an e-mail to privacy@backbase.com.
