Technical Product Owner - Mobile SDK

What you'll do

With your stakeholders and team you’ll be working with modern mobile technologies on our products and tooling. You’ll also be helping define the best practices for all developers creating services with backbase technology - whether by creating the Golden Sample applications and documentation, or educating and evangelizing for the products your team produces.

As a Technical Product Owner, you make the difference every day to empower your end-users - mobile developers. Like no-one else, you understand the perspective of developers who work with Backbase on a daily basis, and you leave no opportunity untouched to get in touch with them and get their feedback.

● Work in close contact with the Technical Directors as stakeholders for your team, and frequently align with them to ensure that your vision is materialized correctly on your backlog;
● Collect requirements from the whole organization, that your understanding of those requirements and the issues you are trying to solve is solid and exhaustive, and keep stakeholders appraised of progress and action plans;
● Create a roadmap for the owned components, planning, refining, and prioritizing the deliverables;
● Have open communication happen with the capability teams. Make sure the capability teams are implementing and using properly the tools and libraries created by the team;
● Auditing the components implementation level on the capability teams and or projects;
● Taking care of the product life-cycle, from the creation of a new product to the decommission of old unused ones;
● Prioritize MAINT tickets, communicate with stakeholders about priorities, timelines for fixes, and plan tickets into future releases or patches;
● Engage with the rest of the product team, being an active member of the Product chapter;
● Propose and research ideas that you believe will accelerate digital teams;
● Understand the market trends, worldwide tech, and development communities and assess technology readiness for adoption.

● you have an extensive track record as a product owner for mobile components and services (a background as a mobile engineer is a big big plus);
● You are comfortable leading presentations, workshops and stakeholder collaboration sessions. You actively enjoy promoting the good work your team is doing;
● You will be comfortable with Coaching and Mentoring team members, and be a natural agile leader capable of bringing your team on the journey with you;
● You have experience collaborating with an array of stakeholders - bring your own good practices;
● You truly understand how to apply the Agile principles and know how to support an autonomous, sustainable way of working within a team. Working alongside the Scrum Master you will help promote an effective Agile environment with an emphasis on self-organization, autonomy and trust;
● You know how to deliver value by connecting product features to customer outcomes. You understand the cost involved in developing and maintaining software and can formulate a business plan to justify roadmap items.
