QA Engineer

You will join a team of QA Engineers with a focus on best practices within the quality, test automation, and CI spaces, and work to ensure the organization is always running smoothly. These practices include metrics to monitor code coverage, bug prevention strategies, and other quality measures.

What you'll do

Able to identify and recommend tools for performance testing requirements for concurrent users up to 75K users.
Expertise in creating script/configuring tools to match the test profiles and criteria. Preferable Gatling
Possess the ability to assess the quality of performance test scripts and tests created by test engineers if needed.
Draft performance test artefacts, including test plans and test summaries.
Expertise in executing performance testing of APIs, web applications and mobile applications.
Ability to collect required data for troubleshooting from Kubernetes clusters.
Create performance test reports based on metrics from performance testing tools test artefacts, including test plans and test summaries.
Work with solution architects and other stakeholders on identifying test strategy and plan.
Communicate the results in the desired format using various communication methods (Graphs, tables, charts etc)
Identify requirements for performance testing from different parameters including but not limited to infrastructure requirements, test data requirements and various other parameters.
Identify risks, challenges prior to the beginning of the testing.
Troubleshoot performance issues in collaboration with architecture and development teams. Performs root cause analysis and drives issues to appropriate resolutions. Compares data from different sources to draw conclusions and develop appropriate testing strategies.
Troubleshoot and identify performance issues in MySQL and Oracle databases.
Assess and ensure team members design, create and maintain performance test scripts.
Develop workload models based on good-enough realism.
Applies appropriate performance testing technologies to meet the short and long term goals of the testing organisation with a focus on improving overall testing efficiency
Improve the reliability and repeatability of performance testing.
Works with project teams, Architecture teams, Agile teams and QA test lead to establishing performance testing scope and effort.
Actively participates in and supports the software development life cycle and project management process.
Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail at all times; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality.

Who you are

You have 6+ years of experience in Performance Testing
You have solid experience with JMeter/LoadRunner/Other industry-leading tools.
You have experience with VuGen protocols (Citrix, HTTP/web, TruClient)
You have experience with Performance Monitoring Tools (i.e. Datadog, dynaTrace, AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
You have experience in performance testing of cloud environments and k8s clusters.
You have experience in MySQL or Oracle databases
You have knowledge of architecting high traffic consumer-facing web applications for performance.
You have experience working in an Agile environment
You have expertise in Chaos engineering tools (added advantage)
