Sales Operations Manager

Backbase is growing its sales operation organization to support and optimize the success of the organization’s sales team. The sales operations manager manages sales goals, projections and processes while enabling and collaborating closely with sales leaders and sales individuals in their ongoing sales efforts to qualify, progress and close deals.

You are an experienced professional with a background in sales or sales operations in the software industry. You get mostly excited about sales processes, data & analytics and helping and supporting sales individuals to keep them accountable and help them succeed.

What you'll do

● Work alongside the Regional Sales Leaders to define quarterly objectives and standardize business reporting to measure and track performance;
● Analyze and advise sales leadership on improvements from a Go-To-Market perspective (like account segmentation, sales channel utilization, product pricing, propensity to buy);
● Manage the Sales Operations process to enable and support sales team productivity and hold them accountable for activities, SalesforceCRM hygiene and sales process compliance;
● Define, build and manage metrics & analytics programs to help sales leaders make data-backed business decisions;
● Assist and buddy new sales individuals during and after their on-boarding
Become their trusted advisor and go-to-person for any sales related topics regarding sales processes, execution and tools;
● Close collaboration with and support to sales leaders and individuals in their weekly forecasting, deal reviews and deal qualification;
● Assist with the quote to cash process ; including quote generation, pricing requests, and contracts;
● Collaborate in strategic deal reviews for the more complex and larger deals in the region;
● Liaison between sales and other departments (like marketing, customer success, product, alliances, legal) to prevent silos and identify and drive improvement programs that will generate incremental sales or make the sales process and experience for customers more efficient.

Who you are

● You have 5+ years of experience in Software Sales, Management Consulting or a proven track record in an equivalent role;
● You have experience with Software Sales / the SaaS industry;
● You have a Bachelor / Master in Business Administration or an MBA;
● You have strategic thinking but very practical and methodological in execution;
● You are Tech and data savvy ; you must love technology and data. Be able to take complex concepts and make them actionable and insightful through modeling, analytics and reporting;
● You love to get your hands dirty and dig into complex operations problems.You have the drive to own programs and initiatives to increase sales process productivity and efficiency;
● You are a process-geek, you love designing them, improving them and evaluating them;
● You love to work and collaborate with people in sales; Enable, support and motivate them;
● You have the ability to keep a calm head under pressure with a can-do, solution-focused attitude;
● You thrive on working in a fast-paced environment; comfortable working on multiple projects in multiple time zones, while collaborating with multiple cultures;
● You have excellent English speaking, writing, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to persuade, inspire, and motivate others at all levels;
● You are a self starter and can work independently;
● You have experience with Google Sheets / MS Excel is a must;
● You have experience with MEDDICC qualification is preferred;
● You have experience with Salesforce CRM is preferred;
● You have experience / knowledge about the financial services industry is preferred;
● You have experience with Tableau (or another BI tool) is preferred.
