Accounting Specialist - GL and AR

Backbase is currently looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join us as an Accounting specialist GL and AR. This position offers an opportunity to work with a growing international Company that offers a diversified and dynamic working environment.

What you'll do

As an Accounting specialist General Ledger and Accounts Receivable, the candidates responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:
● Reconcile all the General Ledger and the Balance sheet Asset accounts across multiple Backbase entities and ensuring the follow-up of all outstanding items;
● Perform the in-depth reconciliation of bank receipts, deposits and Intercompany receivables;
● Reconciliation of unapplied payments on customer deposits account and AR subledger; Clearing of open invoices (incl. academy and training invoices) and payments;
● Timely and adequately responding to all the internal queries /Jira tickets and external queries;
● Upload Bank statements to NetSuite and perform Bank reconciliation statements;
● Prepare the accurate ageing balances, DSO and provide weekly reports.
● Reconcile the withholding tax, other taxes and accurately record in NetSuite.
● Helping out responding customers' emails from AR Inbox and support in the Dunning process;
● Maintaining customer files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accounting practices;
● Work closely with other teams to ensure prompt resolution of related issues
● Review and action promptly on all Asset balances, mismatching, refunds & adjustments;
● Assisting in internal and external financial Audits; ensuring compliance with internal controls, procedures and policies, resolving the queries on time;
●Assist the tax team with supporting the tax filings;
● Month end closing activities & reconciliation;
● Contributing to the working environment by displaying a positive attitude and a high work ethic.

Who you are

● You have at least 2 year experience in a similar role;
● You have At least 4-5 year experience in a similar role;
● You have Master’s degree in accounting;
● You have a solid accounting knowledge;
● You have Experience in working in a complex international organization.
