(RD) Product Architect

As a Product Architect, you act as the linking pin between our R&D department and our Customer Success (CS, customer implementations), you collaborate with the teams on product improvements, new features, and architectural platform requirements and bridge the gap between the creative team, marketing, business and the technical teams of the client and Backbase.

What you'll do

As a Product Specialist, you are exactly where the rubber meets the road from a business and technical perspective when it comes to Identity. You are a central hub between Product Management, Software Architecture and Project Implementation by CS. On a day-to-day basis, you create solution designs, architectural designs, sequence diagrams. Being a linking pin as described you collaborate with the teams on product improvements, new features, and architectural platform requirements and bridge the gap between the creative team, business and the technical teams of the client and Backbase.

You have a multi-year forward-looking vision for the above product and you push the product actively forward.

You provide advice based on experience and deep understanding of the product, practices and frameworks. You lead by example, define our way of working and our path to success. You are the go-to person for all Backbase departments thanks to your functional expertise. You will manage and coach team members within the team or discipline and actively support career development for senior members of the team.

You proactively visit our clients, partners, and teams in different Backbase offices. You also look for pain points and improvements and come up with ideas to address them. You act as a role model and a mentor for other Product Architects and Managers and provide guidance in their development. You will promote and represent Backbase at events and conferences.

Who you are

● 8+ years of experience/ advancement in a Business Architect or Solution definition (or equivalent) role;
● 5+ years of experience in leading products at enterprise software companies;
● 3+ years of experience in banking or fintech;
● 3+ years experience in a client facing position;
● Bachelor in Business, IT or similar.
