Principal UX Designer
Principal UX Designer
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Product Designer to join our elite Customer Advisory SWAT team. As a Product Designer in this team, you will play a pivotal role in executing Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and leading CxO Labs—an ideation workshop for C-level executives of banks—with a focus on speed, adaptability, and high-impact design. You will have the opportunity to work on-site with potential customers, helping them envision and experience the power of Backbase's solutions in real-time.
What you'll do
As part of this agile and fast-paced team, you will contribute to developing and implementing PoCs that demonstrate the value of Backbase's products through exceptional user experiences. You’ll be responsible for leading workshops and quickly creating functional prototypes that resonate with our prospects, showcasing our design thinking and human-centric approaches. Your role will involve traveling to various locations, working directly with potential customers, and delivering rapid, impactful design solutions that meet both customer needs and business goals. This is a hands-on role where speed is prioritized over perfection, and your ability to think on your feet and deliver results quickly will be crucial. Additionally, your expertise in design and prototyping will be essential as you ensure seamless integration of design concepts within our customers' environments.
Who you are
- You have 8-12 years of relevant working experience in Product Design, with a proven track record of handling complex design challenges;
- Experience in the banking or Fintech domain is a welcome bonus;
- You are a result-oriented designer who thrives in an Agile environment, familiar with modern design practices and methodologies;
- You have extensive experience in leading workshops, particularly with C-level executives, and possess strong workshopping and rapid prototyping skills;
- You are adept at translating high-level business requirements into innovative design solutions and coaching your peers to do the same;
- You have a strong design culture and thrive in a complex domain;
- Proficiency in Figma and other design tools is essential, with a deep understanding of end-to-end design processes;
- You have a strong portfolio demonstrating strategic design thinking and the ability to solve difficult design problems through proven processes and frameworks;
- You continuously explore new practices and patterns to enhance your problem-solving toolkit;
- Your excellent communication skills enable you to advocate for design principles, convincing stakeholders of their value to the business;
- You are comfortable traveling to various customer sites to lead workshops and deliver rapid, effective, and innovative design solutions.
