Backbase, the leader in Bank 2.0 portal solutions, has hired Herber de Ruijter to lead its North American operations. De Ruijter joins Backbase from SDL Tridion where for the last five years he was VP of Professional Services and helped build Tridion’s North American business. Prior to SDL Tridion, De Ruijter led several recognized Web Integrators and business units at European System Integrators. He has worked with Web strategy, Web content management, website globalization and user experience design.
“We are pleased to welcome Herber to the team. His strong track record of success will be a major asset as we expand our North American business and continue to drive innovation and work to meet customer’s needs,” said Jouk Pleiter, Backbase CEO.
De Ruijter said of the appointment: “I am very excited to be joining Backbase. With its Bank 2.0 software for the financial industry it has created an important and cost-effective bridge between the inefficient legacy systems saddling many financials and the new, more customer-focused, technology of today.”
Backbase’s Bank 2.0 Portal is a modern platform based on user experience that helps companies to compose truly customer-centric dialogs, and enables them to combine content, data and functionality from different underlying systems within a fresher, more user-centric, presentation. It empowers financials to manage, and optimize, their online customer interactions with less IT support. This means faster time to market.
