UX Designer
Are you a Figma expert ready to be a game-changer for our Services designers? This isn't about building a design system from scratch; it’s a hands-on, problem-solving role focused on making Figma a seamless and powerful tool for the people who use it every day.
What you'll do
At Backbase, we're at the center of a global transformation, serving financial institutions all over the world. Our talented Services designers are the key to this work, designing and customizing our technology so that it fits each client's unique needs like a perfectly tailored suit.
You'll be a critical member of the team. Working within the Design Ops team, you'll use your advanced technical skills to audit files, fix issues, and build new, custom solutions that empower our teams to work faster and more accurately. This is your chance to directly improve our workflow and make a tangible impact on how we deliver quality designs.
Our design libraries will have no secrets for you and you help to prepare and set up projects so that we can hit the ground running when we start with a new client.
You will be the central point of contact for our Services designers and will maintain a backlog of items to work on. You investigate, listen and research to help to find us where we can improve our workflows.
There are currently over 70 product designers and researchers working across the organization, and we are looking for someone who will be a strong addition to our Design team, bringing with them critical thinking, creativity, passion and experience
Who you are
Do you think you would be a great addition to the Design Ops team? In order to really excel in this role we think:
Advanced Figma skills; Knowledge and experience in design libraries, library management, token architecture, components, variables and modes. Theming and styling. Scripting/writing plugins. Automation, and AI forward thinking
Proficient in Jira and backlog planning
Familiar with FE coding languages, Web, iOS and Android
Great communication/collaboration skills
Attention to detail; mid/senior level with solid focus on detail and problem solving.
Audit designs against their product counterparts ensuring alignment
Interpret test results from AI test automation and report bugs and related recommendations on where the issues needs to be solved
File bugs as needed
Concept solutions that fit Service Designers needs
Goal is to deliver more accurate and easier to work with files
Fix bugs when needed
Identify Figma bugs / misuse of components in the files before they reach to projects.
Audit against Figma Playbook so that the Figma files are consistent in their setup
Consolidate Figma bugs from Services designers: Triage, avoid duplicate and follow up.
