As Product Manager within BPO, you’ll drive the evolution of the platform engines enabling our customers to orchestrate their customer-centric cases like dispute management, digital onboarding & complex loan origination. You will become the product expert when it comes to our BPO Platform, enabling teams both inside and outside of Backbase to deliver innovative solutions that delight users with superior services and quick turnaround times. You will deliver innovative, efficient, and adaptive capabilities across business lines that enable them to build and deliver their use-case on top of the platform .

What you'll do

- You are a platform builder. You know what it means to build scalable solutions and understand both technical architecture as well business needs of a business line agnostic product.

- Build products that solve developers’ problems in the context of business process automation and orchestration! Discover new possible solutions to help developers both in and out of Backbase when it comes to enabling the delivery and management of customer-centric business processes at scale.

- You work collaboratively with your engineering squad to enable them to solve the right problems at the right time, sparring with your Engineering Manager as your leadership partner to ensure effective operations across the product life cycle.

- You work in close contact with the Product and Engineering leadership teams as key stakeholders for your team, and frequently align with them to ensure that our overall vision is reflected in your roadmap and product plan.

- You understand your wider stakeholders and ensure you collect requirements from the whole organization, You can understand and transpose the requirements into meaningful outcomes to solve issues whilst consistently updating stakeholders throughout the process, Their success is your success!". - You’re familiar with Business Process Management (BPM) and / or Case management and you know process and automation concepts like the back of your hand.

- You break ideas down into meaningful features and achievable iterations, enabling your squad to continually deliver valuable increments that can be adopted by customers, avoiding big-bang deliveries.

- Create and maintain the product roadmap, including developer enablement/best practices, collaborating with other product teams to support the planning, refining, and prioritization of your desired outcomes aligned with our wider ambitions.

- Be a product evangelist! Make sure everybody knows about & understands your product. Engage with customers and internal stakeholders, to inform, upskill and demonstrate the platforms features and capabilities

- Facilitate open feedback loops with teams utilizing and building on your platform. Make sure they are implementing their solutions making sure they are implementing their solution based on practices and prescribed guidelines whilst providing your full support to help them achieve their objectives .

- Take care of the whole product life-cycle, from the creation of new features to the decommission of older unused ones.

- Prioritize maintenance tickets, communicate with stakeholders about priorities, timelines for fixes, and plan tickets into future releases or patches.

- Trend master, understand the market trends, worldwide technology, and development communities and assess technology readiness for adoption.

Who you are

- 3+ years as a (technical) product manager

- Expertise with building enabling platform capabilities and focussing on developer enablement

- Appreciation of the need for process automation & case management in Financial Institutions

- Ability to understand diverse process orchestration needs and challenges

- Strong technical understanding and communication skills

- Data-driven approach to product development

- Focus on simplifying complexity for developers

- Passion for building enabling platform products that enable others to deliver customer-facing digital experiences

- Thrive working in an agile manner to deliver value iteratively

- Able to comfortably communicate with the larger organization, leading presentations, workshops and requirement gathering sessions;

- Have a clear understanding of the cost involved in developing and maintaining software, being able to formulate a business plan to justify roadmap items.

- You have good leadership skills and always guide and inspire your squads (co-located or nearshore);

- You love leading the pack and guiding them to the light. Issues don’t block you – you either fix them or find a workaround;

- You are a driver, motivator and celebrate your wins. Overall you are a social person with great communication skills;

- Last but not least, you know when it’s time to unwind and socialize with your colleagues.
