DevOps Engineer
As a DevOps engineer you will join a Product team in our Lending value stream within the R&D department.
With Backbase Digital Lending, banks can understand their customers better, anticipate their needs and maintain engagement after the loan payment. We help bank customers easily share their financial information directly from the current account they might have with another bank or through their cloud-based accounting system. They can see all credit and non-credit financial products in one place, monitor new loan applications and request changes to the existing products through any channel.
What you'll do
● Automating phases of the DevOps pipeline.
● Contributing to quality and timely delivery of software products, participating in the delivery process and release activities.
● Investigating and resolving technical issues, performing root cause analysis for production errors.
● Assisting in performance analysis and tuning of software products, configuration and secrets management (e.g. sops).
● Designing procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance, writing documentation.
● Monitoring and maintaining the IT infrastructure, ensuring systems and infra availability, incident management and security (DevSecOps)
● Writing or adopting shell scripts for different platforms, update dependencies of changed components and frameworks.
● Improving the way we work.
Who you are
● Problem-solving attitude.
● Experience working as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
● GitOps in theory and practice: Argo CD, Flux.
● Working knowledge of containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes), experience with Helm charts. Hands-on experience with container registries (e.g. API usage): ACR, Harbor.
● Working knowledge of design and delivery of mission-critical services, preferably cloud-based (Azure).
● CI tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
● Build and dependency tools: maven, npm, gradle, cocoapods.
● Shell programming. Linux/Unix, Windows, iOS.
● Source control: Git, Jira, Confluence.
● Configuration Management experience.
