What you'll do

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Business Development Representative to join our team and drive business growth in the D-CH region. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new opportunities within banks and financial institutions, with a focus on the D-CH market. You will work closely with the Account Executive to develop and nurture these opportunities, ultimately contributing to the expansion of Backbase's presence in the region. Fluency in German and English is a must

Who you are

- Conduct research to identify potential prospects and key decision-makers within target banks and financial institutions in the D-CH region.
- Prospect and cold outreach to generate new leads through various channels, including phone calls, emails, social media, and networking events.
- Qualify leads and opportunities based on predefined criteria, ensuring alignment with Backbase's target customer profile and solution offerings.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospects, understanding their business challenges, objectives, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Account Executives to develop and execute tailored sales strategies and engagement plans for each opportunity.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, demos, and presentations with prospects, effectively articulating Backbase's value proposition and solutions.
- Track and manage pipeline activity and progress using CRM tools, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of sales activities and outcomes.

Requirements:


- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a business development, sales, or lead generation role within the banking or fintech industry.
- Good understanding of the banking industry, digital transformation trends, and the competitive landscape in the D-CH region.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with senior executives and decision-makers.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive and persistent approach to prospecting and lead generation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on driving results and exceeding targets.
- Fluent in German and professional in English
