(Fin) Senior Business Controller
We opened the doors of our Business Development Centre (BDC) in the heart of Hyderabad in December 2020. Nestled in the middle of Hyderabad, the state-of-the-art building sits amidst other global brands. The location offers stunning views of hills and lakes, while nearby there is a selection of restaurants, traditional bazaars, and other cultural hotspots.
As a Senior Business Controller, you will be the expert on the numbers, taking ownership of what has happened and why. By mastering the details of financial reporting and control, you directly empower the Finance Business Partners to focus on strategic initiatives.. Your primary mission is to support departmental stakeholders and Finance Business Partners by providing reliable data, detailed cost analysis, and timely reporting. You will be instrumental in maintaining financial control and transparency, enabling the business to operate efficiently and make informed decisions based on a solid factual foundation.
You will be the expert on the numbers, focusing on what has happened and why. By managing the details of financial reporting and control, you empower the Finance Business Partners to focus on strategic initiatives.
What you'll do
- Prepare and deliver timely and accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports and financial analysis.
- Execute the month-end closing process, including reconciliations, and P&L statements for various business units.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis of actuals versus budget/forecast, providing clear, concise commentary to explain deviations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for department managers regarding their budget tracking and cost inquiries.
- Support the continuous improvement of financial processes by identifying inefficiencies and helping to implement solutions.
- Ensure the integrity of financial data within our contract database and support the ongoing maintenance of our commercial KPI reporting dashboards.
- Provide essential financial data and support for the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
Who you are
- Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in finance or accounting.
- 4+ years of experience in a Business Controlling or FP&A role.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written). Competencies / Skills Functional/Technical Expertise:
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP and BI/analytical systems is essential.
- Experienced in building insights in either Anaplan or Pigment tooling Ability to process and distill large datasets into clear, actionable information. Execution & Ownership:
