Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

We are building the Customer Lifetime Orchestrator — an omni-channel marketing and customer engagement platform that helps banks engage end customers and influence financial behaviour.

As Senior SDET, you own quality for this domain together with the engineering team: test strategy, automation completeness, and the team's ability to execute effectively. This is a hands-on test design and automation role — not a downstream QA handoff.

You will partner with Product, UX, and full-stack engineers (web, mobile, backend, AI-assisted features) to shift quality left and scale automation.

Define and execute test strategy and test plans per release (scope, risks, schedule, entry/exit criteria).

Co-author acceptance criteria and Gherkin scenarios with Product; act as quality gatekeeper before releases.

Build and maintain Playwright web E2E tests for real-world customer journeys across engagement channels.

Govern mobile E2E strategy (Android/iOS) with engineers; use device-farm/matrix testing.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD with GitHub Actions (smoke, regression, quality gates).

Manage test environments with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.

Use Grafana (or similar) to analyse test results and improve feedback loops.

Combine automation with exploratory and manual testing for edge cases; reduce flakiness and improve parallelization.

Coach engineers on TDD, BDD, contract tests, synthetic data, and shift-left practices.

Advocate AI-assisted testing (generation, visual regression, maintenance).

Required

5+ years as SDET or hands-on QA with an automation-first mindset.

Strong test planning and acceptance-criteria design with Product/UX.

Playwright (web), Espresso (Android), XCUITest (iOS).

Java and JavaScript/TypeScript; Angular SPA, mobile, microservices.

API testing (REST, Postman, RestAssured or equivalent).

CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Jenkins), BDD/Gherkin, web and mobile E2E.

Cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and Docker/Kubernetes.

Device/browser farms (Sauce Labs, BrowserStack, or equivalent).

Git/GitHub, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).

Non-functional testing (performance, security, accessibility, localization).

Excellent communication in distributed teams (India, Vietnam, Europe).

Nice to have

Digital banking, martech, or campaign/engagement management.

Performance testing (k6, Gatling, JMeter).

SaaS or enterprise software testing experience.

AI/ML product testing; XRay, CucumberStudio, SonarCloud, security tooling.
