Backbase appoints Jodi Slomp as Chief People Officer as it transitions to AI-native operations

Former Mollie and Booking.com leader joins to strengthen leadership and talent for an AI-native organization.

Slomp brings deep people and culture leadership experience from high-growth technology companies. She joins Backbase at a pivotal moment as the company accelerates its mission to put bankers in the driver's seat of the AI revolution.

With extensive experience leading people and talent strategies at some of Europe's most successful tech companies, Slomp brings expertise in building high-performing teams, scaling global people operations, and fostering cultures that attract and retain top talent. She previously led the People function at Mollie, one of Europe's fastest-growing fintech companies, and held strategic talent roles at Booking.com, the global travel technology leader. 

With AI reshaping how the banks operate, compete, and serve customers, the demand for exceptional talent has never been higher. As Backbase moves toward AI-native ways of working, building the right culture, capabilities, and leadership has become a core priority.
