What you'll do

  • As a Senior Enterprise Account Executive and part of the Europe North West sales organisation, you will own the sales strategy and execution for the Netherlands, French and Belgian banking markets, focusing on major financial institutions. Your mission is to make our customers wildly successful by introducing them to our digital-first, AI-powered platform and delivering seamless, human-centered experiences. This is an opportunity to move fast, have a bias for action, and make a significant impact in one of the fastest-growing fintech companies globally.
  • Take full ownership of the sales cycle, from prospecting to closing strategic, enterprise-level deals;
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of new opportunities, ensuring continuous growth in your territory;
  • Leverage your network and expertise to initiate meaningful conversations with C-level executives, focusing on why they need to transform their digital offering;
  • Position the Backbase value proposition through tailored pitches and demos that directly address each client's specific needs;
  • Collaborate as one with Marketing, Pre-Sales, and Professional Services to ensure seamless customer success and support;
  • Represent Backbase at industry events and conferences in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and across Europe.

Who you are

  • We're looking for an experienced and strategic sales leader who combines deep industry knowledge with an entrepreneurial drive. You’re a pure hunter and a challenger sales type. You're someone who doesn't accept the standard and constantly looks to raise the bar. You are a direct communicator, ready to tell it like it is, and you thrive on closing large, complex deals. You're comfortable working independently while being a strong contributor to our collaborative global team.
  • Fluent in French and English is essential (Dutch is a plus);
  • 10+ years of enterprise software sales experience, ideally in fintech, core banking, or digital transformation;
  • A proven track record of exceeding sales targets and successfully closing large, complex deals;
  • A strong network and reputation within the Dutch, French, Belgian, or banking sector;
  • Exceptional ability to communicate clear business value and build immediate trust with C-level executives;
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the Netherlands, France and Belgium and occasionally across Europe.
