Senior UX Designer
You'll be working with team leadership to strengthen UX design across the organization and ensure Backbase remains a market leader. We see you as an expert UX Designer within the squads, acting as an ambassador for best practice UX Design when working with customers. You'll actively contribute to customer success projects, continually looking for new ideas and driving a higher quality experience for users.
This role is based on a hybrid working model, requiring a minimum of two days per week in our Kraków office.
What you'll do
With your expertise, you'll lead and deliver full lifecycle project delivery in the squads, working with team leadership to identify improvements to the UX design methodology where required. You'll take responsibility for the quality of UX design in the squads, collaborating with the project team on consistency, Design System (re)use, and industry standardization wherever possible. As a member of the UX Design guild, you'll build respected relationships with complementary disciplines (Front-end and Product in particular) and help to educate non-designers in the team on UX best practice. You may also manage and coach junior team members.
- Lead and deliver full lifecycle UX design for projects within your assigned squads.
- Take ownership of the quality and consistency of UX design outputs in your squads.
- Champion the reuse of the Design System and adherence to industry best practices and standards.
- Collaborate closely with Front-end and Product teams to ensure seamless project delivery and alignment.
- Act as a mentor, educating team members and non-designers on effective UX principles.
- Actively contribute to the UX Design guild, fostering a culture of excellence and shared learning.
Who you are
We're looking for an experienced design leader with a passion for driving customer success in the financial services sector. You're a skilled practitioner and a great communicator who can seamlessly integrate with cross-functional teams, advocate for users, and help elevate our design capabilities.
- 5–8 years of experience in a similar UX Design role.
- Excellent theoretical knowledge and practical experience in areas like UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, User Interface Design, HTML/CSS, or User Research.
- 2–5 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, with solid knowledge of digital banking products and services.
- Proven experience navigating the lifecycle of a software implementation project.
- Educational background in UI component Design, Interactive Design, or User Experience Design.
- Professional working proficiency in English and the local language (Polish).
