Senior Accounting Officer
We are seeking a Senior Accounting Officer to join our finance team and take responsibility for ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust accounting operations, and process excellence. The role demands a solid understanding of IFRS/US GAAP/Ind AS, hands-on experience in general ledger and revenue accounting, and a forward-looking approach to finance automation and AI adoption.

What you'll do
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting & Reporting
1.Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including GL maintenance, revenue recognition, and preparation of financial statements.
2.Ensure compliance with IFRS/US GAAP/Ind AS, and relevant local statutory requirements.
3.Prepare and review run-rate analysis, P&L variance analysis, and detailed balance sheet reconciliations at GL level.
4.Assist in consolidation, intercompany reconciliations, and group reporting.
- Audit & Compliance
1.Support timely closure of statutory, internal, and external audits.
2.Ensure accurate filing of statutory and regulatory reports.
3.Maintain compliance with corporate governance, tax, and local regulatory requirements.
- Process Optimization & Automation
1.Identify opportunities for automation in accounting and reporting processes.
2.Work with AI-enabled tools to streamline reconciliations, reporting packs, and closing activities.
3.Implement controls to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of finance operations.
- Controls & Risk Management
1.Regularly assess risk and control environment across finance processes.
2.Ensure adherence to group policies, and recommend improvements to accounting controls.
3.Escalate open items and ensure timely resolution with stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
1.Work closely with taxation, treasury, payroll, secretarial, and operational teams for smooth end-to-end finance operations.
2.Support cash flow management, vendor payments, and employee reimbursements.
3.Ensure monthly closure activities are delivered within central timelines.
Who you are
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience (post-qualification or in final stages).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP/Ind AS.
- Prior experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and finance automation tools.
- Exposure to AI-enabled accounting solutions or process optimization preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
